We are a family-owned business, originally from the far south of Morocco in the desert city of Ouarzazate, a place of kasbahs, mountain passes and timeless landscapes that have inspired storytellers for centuries. For us, it’s more than a hometown. It is the soul of our brand: a reminder that what we create must remain authentic, rooted in culture and crafted with care.
The name Moorish is central to who we are. It pays tribute to the Moors, whose history and influence stretched far beyond Morocco, carrying knowledge, flavour and beauty across continents. But it also carries a more playful meaning: Moorish is moreish. Once you experience our products whether in your kitchen or your self-care rituals you will find yourself reaching for them again and again.
We founded Moorish with a simple but ambitious mission: to make the richness of Morocco accessible to everyone. Morocco is a land of abundance, known not only for its vibrant cuisine but also for its natural beauty traditions, handed down through generations. Too often, these treasures remain undiscovered or difficult to access beyond the borders of Morocco. We wanted to change that to bring the authenticity into the everyday.
Our journey begins with food specifically, with Amlou, a traditional Moroccan spread made from almonds and premium pure argan oil. Amlou has been enjoyed in Moroccan homes for centuries and it remains a symbol of both nourishment and hospitality. We are proud to introduce it as our first product, prepared with premium, organic ingredients and crafted without additives or shortcuts. But this is only the beginning.
